It is with no uncertain terms that Alexei Kazakov explains what his team is up to in the Cev Cup’s Final Four. The russian middle blocker, back home playing after six seasons in Italy -Modena and Trento- is confident in the means of Odintsovo: “Our target is to win the Cup, we have no interest in being second -Kazakov says-. We are aware that it will be very difficult to get to the final, for the first team we will meet will be a italian one. I know Padova changed a lot and I don’t know all the players, but italian teams are notoriously tough. In the campionship we are doing good, we are third-ranked behind Dinamo Moskow nd Lokomotiv Belogrod. If we can defeat Padova, I think we will find Macerata waiting for us in the Final”.
Giotto Padova – Iskra Odintsovo will be the first semifinal of PadovaCev 2006, and will begin on Saturday, March the 4th at 4.30 p.m..
