Claudio Sciurpa, Perugia’s chairman, has become the new president of the Italian Volleyball League. He was elected by the Club Assemblee united in Bologna. The board of directors was elected too. It will be composed of Antonio Bongiovanni, Gianrio Falivene, Giuliano Grani, Guido Molinaroli, Giulio Bertaccini and Fiorenzo Signor (respectively chairman of Taranto, Latina, Modena, Piacenza in the A1, Cavriago and Bassano del Grappa in the A2). Massimo Righi was confirmed as managing director.


 


Claudio Sciurpa, 54 years old, was born in Castiglione del Lago. He is married to Nadia and has two children, Michela and Thomas.  


 


“I would like to be the rpesident of all – said Sciurpa – My first target is to get the ‘Lega’ to regroup and to establish good relationships. Our common interest is a better volleyball and I count on the collaboration of all the clubs to preserve the league. We will all have to work hard. I’d like to thank Diego Mosna for everything he’s done as president in the past five years and his kindness in helping me through the transition period”.
