70th Serie A UnipolSai championship: 2014-15 schedule


 


On Friday July 25 at 11.30am, the calendar of the coming season will officially be unveiled. Here are the main dates of the SuperLega UnipolSai and the Serie A2 UnipolSai, as well as for the Del Monte events.

The SuperLega UnipolSai playoffs quarters and semis will be played on the best of three games, while the final in five games.


The Serie A2 UnipolSai playoffs quarters will be played in 3 games while the semi-finals and final in 5.


 


 


Volley Market starts tomorrow


 


Wednesday is the opening day of the Volley Market, which is taking place in the Zanhotel & Meeting Centergross in Bentivoglio (near Bologna). The three-day event will officially open the new season.


 


All the Serie A clubs will be there, making their last moves to complete their rosters before the deadline. There will also be many meetings organized by the Italian Volleyball League, while on Friday the fixture lists of the 70th Serie A UnipolSai championship will be unveiled.


 


Time as well for the Sport agent exam and special meetings: one for the Referee Department with the Serie A coaches, and another one for the Association of Volleyball Medical Staff.


 


On Thursday, a briefing is set in the morning with the people in charge of the press. In the afternoon, the attention will turn to the Media and Marketting Day, open to journalists.


 


Serbian star Ivan Miljkovic will present his international site WorldofVolley, an innovative project with information as well as services for clubs, coaches and players. Meanwhile, Simone Tiberti, Mattia Rosso, Manuele Cricca and Marco Zingaro will tell us about their technological platform for the development of a new Fantavolley.


 


On the menu of Friday 25, there will be the election of the new president of the board of directors. The new season will then officially be launched as the fixture lists and calendars are unveiled. This will go on live streaming on Sportube.tv.


 


Rai Sport journalist Alessandro Antinelli will reward the newly promoted sides of the A2 and B1, as well as the winner of the “Roberto Stracca” award, given to the best club media of both championships.

The Federation confirmed that Club Italia will not take part in the Serie A, which means that 25 clubs will be listed to take part in the Serie A championships.
