Verona’s middle blocker, Simone Anzani made his official international debut with the Italian shirt this weekend. He came on in the third set in the first of two encounters in Iran in the fifth weekend of the World League. Iran eventually won 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-15). The second game is scheduled on Sunday.
