Cucine Lube Civitanova won once again at the tie break and clinched the Superleague Final spot, defeating Azimut Modena in front of sell out crowd of PalaPanini. The first set was all for the visiting team, always in front, winning easily 25-15 the partial. In second Modena fought back, by winning 25-19 and tying the game, for the enthusiasm of noisy PalaPanini. In third Osmany Juantorena and Tsvetan Sokolov stepped up, driving Gianlorenzo Blengini’s team to a 25-22 win, taking the lead in the game, looking forward to close set match and series in the fourth. But once again Azimut Modena fought back, drove by excellent Earvin Ngapeth and Luca Vettori, with Coach Tubertini’s team who won fourth 25-22, forcing the game to the exciting tie break. Once again Osmany Juantorena stepped up in fifth, and Lube, lead by the cuban italian , grabbed the final 15-10 win, flying to Superleague Final, where they will wait the opponent, Diatec Trentino or Sir Safety Perugia, who will face each other in Game 5 next saturday.

Sir Safety Conad Perugia earned Game 5, keeping undefeated PalaEvangelisti in fourth act of semifinal, grabbing the tie in the series, forcing Trento to Game 5 next saturday in Trento. The go to guy for Lorenzo Bernardi’s team was Alexander Atanasijevic, 22 points with 59% in attack for the serbian opposite, logical Mvp of the game. Together with Atanasijevic a good game for Alexander Berger, who struggled a little bit in reception early in first set, stepping up late in first and in the rest of the game, putting on the ground 13 points with 65% in attack. The masterpiece of the game was by Luciano De Cecco, who set at their best all the hammers of Sir Safety, almost without committing mistakes. On Trento’s side, a good game by Simone Giannelli, the only one dangerous in the fundamental of serve, who set the best way possible. Angelo Lorenzetti’s team struggled with the hammers, with a good offensive game by Simon Van De Voorde, who scored 11 points.
