La gloriosa Cus Torino viene fondata nel 1952. Nel 1965 è promossa dalla D alla C e l'anno successivo arriva in B dove gioca sino al 1971 quando arriva la tanto sospirata promozione in A. 16 anni di successi fino al 1988 quando cede il titolo sportivo a Cuneo.
