Fiorese Spa Bassano: Last year he arrived without drawing much attention, almost shy, despite the recent title of Italian Under20 champion with Macerata. This season the situation has changed. The promising youngster that started with Bassano in the A2 last year, is now seen as one of the main stars of Cretu’s renewed team. Indeed, last season, after the logical initial difficulty, finished with the ice on the cake with the title of best Under23 player of the league.
“Last season went way beyond any expectations – said Carmelo Gitto – It’s not that I didn’t believe in my ability, but I certainly neither expect to be a starter so soon nor be able to play well at this level straight from the start”.
