Bassano conceded two consecutive defeats against Santa Croce and Città du Castello and it’s now time to react.
“The pressure might have been too much against Santa Croce – said coach Cretu – But we don’t have any excuses for last Sunday’s game against Città di Castello. We suffered a severe defeat and I assume all the responsibility. We played poorly and deserved to lose, there isn’t much else to be said. The first guilty man for each loss is me, then come the players. We’ve been very far from the level we’re capable of. Now I’m waiting a reaction from the team, enthusiasm and character from every single player. We have to bounce back straight away, all together, like we’ve always done”.
Bassano faces a tough game against Isernia on Sunday. In the first leg, they had lost and to prepare this encounter, the team played a friendly game against the Slovenian team of Nova Gorica, which they won 4-1.
