Matera had an excellent regular season with a satisfactory fourth place and now it is getting ready to face Cantù in the playoffs quarter-finals. Monza and Sora are the favourites to join Padova in the Serie A1, but there could well be a giant killer to disrupt the pecking order among the other teams. Even if Matera won both league games against Cantù 3-1, it should not take anything for granted as both games were extremely tight.
