Volley Market, first day over

Representatives of the 12 SuperLega clubs and 14 Serie A2 teams gathered in the Zanhotel Centergross in Bentivoglio for the first day of the Volley Market. Presidents, managers and coaches are extremely active to seal their roster before the deadline.

The busiest on the opening day were Piacenza and Latina, the latest to be admitted in the SuperLega. Piacenza have re-signed middle blocker Tencati and Kohut, while Latina announced the signings of Maruotti and Hirsch. In the serie A2, the first ones to complete their roster were Castellana Grotte, Cantù and the newly promoted team of Emma Villas Siena.

In the afternoon, a meeting between the referees and the clubs took place for an update on the rule changes to come.

There was time for charity too as Federico Moretti presented his project, which consists of gathering the money from the fine of the Serie A and give it to people in need. “With your help, the money gathered could quench the thirst of an entire village – explained the outside hitter – And I will personally be on the site to ensure the realization of this project”.

Another day packed with the latest signings, meetings, workshops and more will begin tomorrow at 9.30am, while the fixture lists will be revealed on Thursday.
