The Civitanova stars are shining in the World League 2016. The group stage to qualify for the Final Six (Krakow, July 13-17) ended last weekend. One above the rest: Bulgarian outside hitter Tsvetan Sokolov who finished top scorer with 155 points (10 blocks, 8 aces). Unfortunately, the scoring prowess of the new Civitanova player was not enough to send Bulgaria in the last six. On the other hand, there will be Italy with the Civitanova head coach Blengini, spiker Osmany Juantorena and middle blocker Enrico Cester, as well as scout Matteo Carancini. Italy finished fifth in the ranking thanks to six wins and three defeats. The other stars of the club reached their goal too: Christensen with the USA (8 wins and only loss), Stankovic with Serbia (7w, 2l) and Grebennikov with France (6w, 3l). The latter was the best in dig according the FIVB stats.
