Following Antonio De Paola’s departure, Reggio Emilia got back on the market to complete its roster. They opted for Luka Suljagic. The Serbian middle blocker, born in 1986, played in the past for Vibo Valentia and Padova : « I am thrilled to come back to Italy – he said – I can’t wait to start this new challenge ». Sport director Barbareschi said : « He was on our lists for a while. Once Antonio left, we analysed our roster, we felt we already had enough alternatives on the wing and strengthened squad in the middle. Luka has a lot of experience on the international scene, he will be useful to our young players too ».
