Biosì Indexa Sora qualifed for Playoff Challenge Quarterfinals, coming back in the series versus Kioene Padova, and winning Game 3 on the road at Kioene Arena. the three hammers Gotsev-Rosso-Miskevich put in big troubles the defence of Padova. In first set Sora had a great start, reaching the 14-7 advantage, and winning the set 25-19. Coach Valerio Baldovin is in trouble, trying to put on the court some players from the bench without finding the right effective combination. In second set Kioene had a good start, but Sora fought back, grabbing the tie and keeping the set on the edge until the end, when Miskevich put on the ground a couple of fundamental balls, winning the set 25-23 for Sora. Third set was a balanced one, but in the crunch time, once again Miskevich stepped up, driving Biosì Indexa to the win 25-23 in the set, and in the match.
Valerio Baldovin (allenatore Kioene Padova): “Sora played last two games better than us. On tonight we were nervous, and we did not played at their level. We are sorry we finished this season this way, in front of our fans. Let’s hope to learn from our mistakes and re start again”.
Mattia Rosso (Biosì Indexa Sora): “For us this is the top result of the season. We deserve it as a team, because we worked hard all season long. In last part of the season we weren’0t in good shape, but something happened in our mind, and today we firmly wanted this win. Now we’ll face Verona without pressure, trying to do something good versus a great team”.
