Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Men’s Under 17 Piacenza was crowned Emilia Romagna Regional Champion and will be the protagonist in the National Finals of the category scheduled in Trentino Valsugana, in the province of Trento, from 29 May to 4 June.
The young red and whites, coached by Stefano Gatti and Renato Barbon, in the Men’s Under 17 Regional Final Four played at the Matilde di Canossa gym in Reggio Emilia in front of a large crowd beat Volleyball Bologna in the semifinals by 3-2 (25-18, 23 -25, 25-21, 23-25 and 15-10) and then in the Final they faced Emmeti VGModena and won 3-1 (25-17, 25-18, 23-25 and 25-21). Modena had the better of Consar Ravenna in the semifinal.
Having won the regional title Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza is among the top 16 teams in Italy and will not play in the qualifying round reserved for the runners-up in the Regional Finals in the National Phase.
At the end of the Regional Final, the awards ceremony for the two teams and the assignment of individual prizes: best player Manuel Zlatanov, best free thrower Russell Medici, best setter Davide Pio Fiandaca all from Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza.
