The first Italian statistical research on the numbers of violence and abuse in sports will be presented on June 13 in Milan, with the illustration, commentary and interpretation of the data. The project fills a gap regarding the data on the topic, present only in Italy, and is inspired by “CASES-Child Abuse in Sport European Statistics”, conducted in six European countries and supported by the Council of Europe, borrowing methodologies and ethical approach.

The research obtained the validation of Professor Mike Hartill (Department of Social Sciences for Child Protection & Safeguarding Edge Hill University, Lancashire), director of the Scientific Committee of “CASES” and also of the Italian one, which is composed of:
