Emma Villas has resumed her training. This time the objective is set for Sunday 8 December, when Palmi will arrive at PalaEstra, a team (in which the former Emma Villas player Carmelo Gitto plays) which currently occupies the last position in the league table but which in the last round of the championship defeated Porto Viro with a result of 3-1, thus achieving its second victory in the tournament.
Palmi currently has 5 points in the standings while Emma Villas has 13. The Sienese lost in Casnate with Bernate on the last day of the championship against Campi Reali Cantù: the match in Lombardy ended with a score of 3-0 and brought three points to the Brianza team, which showed off a Novello in great shape and a Tiozzo who was good at finding great shots in the hottest and most decisive moments of the match. Emma Villas Siena was unable to find the right countermeasures and was therefore unable to provide continuity of results after having defeated Catania 3-0 in the previous round. Now coach Gianluca Graziosi’s team is ninth in the standings with 13 points.
The Siena-Palmi match (match at PalaEstra on Sunday at 4pm) will be important for both teams. The Sienese are looking for points to get closer to the playoff zone and redeem themselves immediately after the fall against Cantù, Palmi is instead looking for an away success that would give new morale to the Calabrians as well as points that would certainly be very important in the race for salvation.
