Gioele Taiwo completes the middle blockers department of Campi Reali Cantù for the 2025/2026 season. For the Milanese player, this is his first experience in the cadet category, even though he already boasts some appearances in the first team of Mint Vero Volley Monza, including his debut in the Champions League in the Quarter Final played against Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia. In the Youth National Teams, before arriving in the shadow of the bell tower of San Paolo, he will play both the qualifications for next year’s Under 22 European Championships, scheduled from 11 to 13 July in Cisterna di Latina, and the Under 21 World Championship, which will be held from 18 to 31 August in Jiangmen, China.

“Gioele is a boy who has done very well both this year and in previous years – says Coach Alessio Zingoni –. He comes from the Monza youth team, with whom he won both the Under 19 Scudetto and the Junior League this year, and they were very good as a group. He is also working his way up with the Youth National Teams. He is a very physical middle blocker, very interesting especially in the blocking fundamental, and he will certainly be able to give a contribution to the other two more experienced players, as well as to the entire team. He is extremely eager to work, and the fact that he will most likely participate in both the Under 21 World Cup at the end of August and the Under 22 European Qualifiers in mid-July will add experience to that already accumulated in the rest of the journey with the Youth National Teams.
