Nasce come Robur nel 1935 e comincia a disputare i campionati provinciali e regionali quando non ancora esisteva la Federazione. Interrotta l'attività per l'avvento della guerra riprende nel 46 vincendo i primi 4 titoli italiani per poi rivincere lo scudetto nel 52. Nel 65 al termine della stagione che la vede retrocessa,si scioglie la Robur che decide di fondersi con la Casadio sotto la guida di Costa
