Sir Safety Conad Perugia won 3-0 over Diatec Trentino the seventh game of Unipolsai Superleague postponed because of the Champions League game of Perugia last sunday. PalaEvangelisti was as usual great in supporting and chanting and singing for Block Devils, but Angelo Lorenzetti’s team played a good game, fighting until the end in second and third set. Despite the fifth loss in seven games, Trento is trying to fight back with the heart. Perugia won this game technically and tactically, with a great performance by Aaron Russell, 15 poinys, Alexander Atanasijevic, 12, and Ivan Zaytsev, 11. But the Mvp of the game was former Trento’s player Liber Massimo Colaci, with some outstanding receptions and saves. For Trento good game  for italian national team opposite Luca Vettori, 16 points, and canadian Nicholas Hoag, who played once again in place of injured Uros Kovacevic, 13 points for the canadian. A great game won by Perugia, who’s now atop the Superleague standings with 21 points, three more than Azimut Modena.

MVP: Colaci

Dore Della Lunga (Sir Safety Conad Perugia):On tonight wqe took home an important result, playing point by point and grabbing the pivotal points in the crunch time, on the edge. We’ve always been in the game, we were good in every moment of the game, especially when we were down by some points”.
Simone Giannelli (Diatec Trentino): “We were coming from a troubled period, but tonight we fought until the end, at the same level of the leader of the standings, so I’m proud of this team. I’m sorry for the result, we had some good chances to win third set, and we did some mistakes”.
