Mater fights but leaves three points to leader Crema, pres. Miccolis does not agree and blames the referees
Determination was not enough for MAterdomini Volley defeated in Crema. Joel & Co. fough for two sets but had to give up to Cazzaniga and Caldeira who managed to lead Premier Hotels Crema even higher in the standings.
Castiglia’s men, just like for the previous match against Verona, had one cent missing to make a Euro. That cent would have allowed them to win the third set and maybe change the face of the match.

At the most important time of the match with a set ball in our favour, the assistant referee wanted to be the star and spotted a non existing touch that would have happened under the other referee’s nose. Let’s not talk about the clear violation of the opponents on 23-24 in our favour, sensationally turned against us.
Twice in a few minutes, we were denied the set’s victory. A repeated episode which in two consecutive matches has heavily affected us and surely left us with a few less points in the standings.
I believe it is right to react to such wrungs. Ours is a difficult job and I belive we do not need any outside intervention to make it even more difficult”.
