It was an intense game at Palasport Città di Frosinone, between BioSì Indexa Sora and Calzedonia Verona, with Nikola Grbic’s team who cambe back to Verona with a 3-0 win, not so clear as the score says. In fact it was a battle especially in second and third set, when Sora fought hard to stay into the game, forcing the second to the extra, losing the partial 27-29. Verona played once again without Mitar Djuric and without italian national team middle blocker Emanuele Birarelli, at home with fever. Grbic played in the middle with Marco Mengozzi, but the best player for Calzedonia, and Mvp of the game, was slovenian Toncek Stern, who put on the ground 24 points. Good game also for Stephen Maar, 10 points for him. On the other side of the net the best scorer for Coach Mario Barbiero’s team was Dusan Petkovic with 19 points. MVP: Toncek Stern (Calzedonia Verona)

Adi Lami (General Manager BioSì Indexa Sora): “It was an intense game, decided by episodes. Probablywe deserved something more, both teams played an high rhythm match, they were better in the crunch time. Now we have to think and concentrate to the next game”.

Nikola Grbic (Calzedonia Verona): “We are happy for the 3 points versus a team who put in trouble even Perugia. we knew that if you are in trouble with them you risk the loss. I’m happy for the game, they showed big solidity, as they did versus Ravenna”.

Verona fans will enjoy a promotion for next games.
