Riccardo Goi will again be libero of Consar Rcm in the next A2 championship. The announcement was made this morning during a press conference held at the headquarters of R.C.M. Construction of the Rainone group, which for the second season supports Consar in sponsoring the team.
For Goi it will be the eighth season with the Ravenna shirt, “and that’s what I wanted both because I want to redeem last year – said the Libero – and because an interesting project is about to start. The first phone call with Marco Bonitta was precisely to understand if there was a common view on this new project and on the specific technical objectives related to it. There is full harmony and great and unchanged enthusiasm on my part, as well as the pleasure of meeting Marco and returning to work with him. It is an added value. And then I feel an extra responsibility: to help the many young people in the new staff to grow, to know how to overcome the difficult moments they might encounter in a long season and to make the most of their potential and quality. I know many of these: they are guys who have great moral and human bases, important technical skills and great application in daily work: they will have to be an important starting point to play a good season “.
The press conference was an opportunity to take stock of the team’s situation, almost completed (no second free), just over a month before the meeting scheduled for Sunday 21 August. The first phase of the work will be managed by the technical staff who in this sporting year will support Bonitta, who will be involved until 10 September with the Slovenian women’s national team: as second coach there will be Francesco Guarnieri, who returns to Ravenna after two years in Vibo, and as third coach Matteo Bologna returns to Ravenna after his experience in the men’s top league in Poland. Patrick Bandini has been recalled in the role of scoutman while Simone Ade (athletic trainer) and Stefano Bandini (physiotherapist) remain confirmed. The first friendly will be played on 17 September while the A2 championship will start on 9 October. On Thursday 21 July, during the final day of Volley Mercato, the Volleyball League will announce the championship calendar, which sees 14 teams at the start.
