Mohammadjavad Manavinezad, yesterday, Wednesday 29 November 2023, underwent surgical reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee. The operation was performed in Rome, in the Villa Stuart nursing home by Professor Pier Paolo Mariani, an internationally renowned orthopedic surgeon and specialist in knee pathologies.
The operation had a positive outcome, and concerned exclusively the cruciate and not the meniscus as for this specific trauma Prof Mariani’s medical team did not detect such a severity as to require the intervention; it was highlighted that the trauma to the meniscus preceded the injury that the athlete suffered last November 12th, during the match against Rana Verona.
Today Manavi began rehabilitation together with the physiotherapists of Villa Stuart, being able to count on a team of specialists to recover the mobility of the knee in the shortest possible time.
