Another confirmation for coach Fanuli’s team: the spiker Romolo Mariano signs for another season in yellow and red.

“There were several factors that determined the decision to stay in Reggio: first of all Fabio’s reappointment as coach, then the reappointment of some teammates, finally I have a lot of faith in the team that has been built. Surely the seriousness of the company also influenced my choice, moreover I settled well in the city, because Reggio is close to other cities, which are easily reachable, and then I like Emilian food”.

Born in 1991, originally from Bergamo, Mariano is in his tenth season in Serie A2, even if in recent years he risked relegation with Reggio Emilia and the play-outs with Porto Viro: “This year I really hope we will be able to qualify for the play-offs, which I haven’t done for 2 years, then I’d like to see a lot of public come to support us and get passionate about the team. In general, an Italian Cup and a Super Cup are still missing in my palmares. Finally, I want to win one more championship in my career before I stop playing.”

A well-balanced mix of experienced players and young players full of vitality is the recipe for the yellow and red squad, Mariano believes there are the conditions for doing well: “Surely having a good base of players from last season will be a good starting point. With the new teammates we will have to get to know each other, immediately create the right working mentality and spirit of sacrifice to become a tough team”.
