In Italian volleyball, it is always the spectacle that wins. Even in the Serie A2 Credem Play Offs, the Semifinals are characterized by competitiveness and balance, so much so that the names of the finalists for promotion to the SuperLega will only emerge from the Game 3 matches. The decisive matches are scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday 17 April, with the first match at 8.30pm. At the PalaEstra, Emma Villas Siena hosts Delta Group Porto Viro, while at the Palasport in Grottazzolina Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina and Consar Ravenna compete. The winning teams will meet in the last act in the best of three matches (21, 25 and 28 April) to ascend to the Olympus of volleyball.
The lights of the PalaEstra come back on for the beautiful match between Emma Villas Siena and Delta Group Porto Viro. After the 3-1 success achieved at home by the Tuscan club in the first round, in Veneto the redemption of the opponents came to a tie-break. Strengthened by Tommaso Barotto’s 29 points and an excellent team performance both on serve and block (8 winners), Porto Viro rebalanced the series at the end by earning the opportunity to participate in the crucial match on the court of Siena, protagonist of another good performance in all the fundamentals, but in difficulty until finishing at the mercy of the opponents in the fifth and decisive set after the slip to the advantages in the previous set.
The public is also expecting great occasions at the Palasport in Grottazzolina for the inside-out challenge between the hosts Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina, already winners of the first match of the series on their own pitch 3-1 and the giants Consar Ravenna, good in the second face-to-face of the Semi-finals to completely reverse the trend until they prevailed with the maximum gap and with renewed ambitions. Dominant in the first and third acts of the match, the Romagna team only suffered in the second part from the play of the dominant team in the Regular Season. The 25 points were decisive with 69% positivity and 5 of the 8 team aces by Alessandro Bovolenta.
