After one season, the paths of Cucine Lube Civitanova and Norwegian setter Jakob Thelle split. Having landed in the red and white after having stood out on several occasions in the US college championship, the athlete immediately demonstrated his dedication with his commitment to the gym and learned Italian in record time, helping to keep the training level high with his qualities from nine meters and with a feisty style in the control room. Worth mentioning is his contribution to the setter in the return match of the CEV Champions League quarter-finals against Ankara and to the serve in the hot phase of the 5th Place Play Offs. The club also followed the player in the post-season period to resolve a leg problem that had limited him in the second part of the season. In fact, in recent days Thelle underwent an arthroscopic cleaning operation on his right knee. The operation, carried out at the Villa Pini Clinic in Civitanova by the professor Raul Zini, in the presence of the red and white health manager Mariano Avio, was a perfect success.

Greetings from Jakob Thelle:

“I am lucky to have had such a formative professional experience in Civitanova with Lube. I come away enriched by this parenthesis, not only for having trained and played at these levels, but also for everyday life in Italy and the work to improve in all aspects. Despite the difficulties and missed opportunities to win a title, I am sure that I have gained important benefits. For this I thank the club, staff and fans. A special hug goes to my teammates, with whom I fought from start to finish, finishing with the far from obvious victory of the 5th Place Play Off. Always go Lube!”

A.S. Volley Lube thanks Thelle for the application and professionalism she has demonstrated since her arrival in the team group. Best wishes to Jakob for new and stimulating challenges.
