The new foreigner of Virtus Fano is Polish and has international experience. Jan Fornal, born in 1995, 191 cm tall, brother of the more famous Tomasz, will wear the colors of Virtus in the next season of Serie A2 covering the role of spiker, after being a protagonist in the German Bundesliga with the jersey of Berlin Racycling Volleys: “I always thought that sooner or later I would have liked to come and play a season in Italy. Everyone knows that Italian food is one of the best in the world, there are incredible places in this country”. Then the new move made by the Virtus management speaks precisely of Fano: “It is probably one of the most beautiful places in Italy, a small town on the sea, it reminds me a lot of my previous club in Friedrichshafen”. After playing in his home country, Fornal moved to Germany where he played two high-level seasons, also participating in various European competitions: “I don’t have any specific goals in mind for next year, I will definitely want to give my best so that the fans and club are satisfied. I don’t know the Italian championship well, there will be an initial study phase to then settle in better and get into the mechanisms”.
