Last step towards the Scudetto Play Offs. The 2023/24 Regular Season ends with the 11th round of return, scheduled for Sunday 3 March. Some verdicts are already known, such as the first two places in the play-off grid for the Italian flag, with Itas Trentino and Sir Susa Vim Perugia the main two seeds and Valsa Group Modena, qualified with the last available pass, combined with the champions Italy in the quarter-final series with a best of three victories out of five matches. In two days the positions from third to seventh will also be defined, for the moment it’s a tussle. Already official, however, is the relegation of Farmitalia Catania, which failed to maintain the category despite returning the spectacle of great volleyball to the Etna fans. The last match of the season for Gioiella Prisma Taranto is scheduled in Catania in two days, safe, but eleventh and not admitted to the 5th Place Play Offs. The only preview of the round, at 5.30pm (live on Rai Sport), sees Monza facing each other, chasing the placing, and Cisterna, which only came close to qualifying for the Scudetto Play Offs (and will take part in the Play Offs 5th place together with Padua). Five matches at 6pm. Leaders Trento host Padova, Catania and Taranto close the season together, Verona and Civitanova offer a preview of the Play Offs by playing for position in the standings, Piacenza wants to confirm third place against Modena, which doesn’t need points, but wants to give a joy to the fans in the Via Emilia derby. Milan is looking for precious points within the walls of friends, but has to deal with Perugia, a team in strong progression and dedicated to always playing for victory.
