Good news for the entire red and white environment. Luca Loreti, libero of the first team of A2 Credem Banca, has been called up for a collegiate match with the senior national team. For this first Italian gathering, the Technical Commissioner of the Senior Men’s National Team, Ferdinando De Giorgi, has called 16 athletes who will meet from Friday 26 April at the “Giulio Onesti” Olympic Preparation Center in Rome. The rally will end on May 2nd.

These are the athletes called up:

Alessandro Fanizza (BCC Tecbus Castellana Grotte); Giovanni Maria Gargiulo (Prisma Gioiella Taranto); Alessandro Bovolenta (Consar RCM Ravenna): Davide Gardini, Luca Porro, Federico Crosato, Andrea Truocchio (Volleyball Padua); Tommaso Rinaldi, Giovanni Sanguinetti, Filippo Federici, Giulio Pinali, Mattia Boninfante (Valsa Group Modena); Luca Loreti (Kemas Lamipel Santa Croce); Fabrizio Gironi, Edoardo Caneschi, Francesco Recine (Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza).

The staff will be made up of: Ferdinando De Giorgi (1st coach), Massimo Caponeri (2nd coach), Nicola Giolito (athletic trainer and coach), Giacomo Tomasello (assistant coach), Vittorio Sacripanti (companion manager), Piero Benelli (doctor ), Fabio Rossin (physiotherapist), Ivan Contrario (scoutman), Alberto Salmaso (assistant scoutman), Giacomo Giretto (team manager).

Luca, born in 2005, is in his second season at S. Croce sull’Arno and has stood out as one of the best liberos in the category. He trained as an athlete in Rome, with the Fenice Volleyball team, and thanks to an intuition of the D.S. red and white Pagliai was included in the Kemas Lamipel project last season. After a year of experience in A2, behind one of the greatest interpreters of the role, Davide Morgese, he gained ownership in the current season. He recently stood out wearing the jersey of the Junior national team, with which he will play the next European Championships. The call with the selection of the “big ones” represents yet another gratification in an increasingly interesting path. A favorite of the red and white public, he will bring the colors of the Wolves in a context of absolute prestige. With him, among those called up, also the former Lupo Andrea Truocchio, central defender of Kemas Lamipel in the 2022-23 season.
