First new face in the ABBA Pineto format 2025/26. The white and blue club is pleased to announce the signing of the spiker Antonino Suraci, 29 years old next November and fresh from a five-season experience in the ranks of Conad Reggio Emilia. Originally from Tradate, in the province of Varese, Suraci is a player who will guarantee important versatility to coach Simone Di Tommaso: born in sport in the role of opposite hitter, for two seasons he has covered that of spiker; a versatility in attack that goes hand in hand with his skills in serving, where in the season just ended he collected 39 aces out of 276 total points.
Suraci debuted in the seniors with the Lombard club Yaka Malnate between Serie C and Serie B. In his career he totaled 962 points in 197 games (182 in attack, 112 aces, 80 block-points).
Antonino Suraci’s first words in white and blue: “I’m very happy to have received the call from Pineto. DS Massimo Forese and coach Simone Di Tommaso immediately made me feel an integral part of this project. As an opponent I have always admired the warmth of the Pala Santa Maria fans: they have shown themselves on many occasions to be the extra man for the team and thinking about being able to play in that climate, with that atmosphere, fills me with energy. I can’t wait to start the season to have fun and, why not, get some great satisfaction”.
