Beginnings, but also endings. Assessments and good intentions. The final first leg of the Credem Banca Serie A2 championship, as well as the first official match of the year, turns the lights back on at the Banca Macerata Forum. Matchday 13, scheduled for Sunday, January 4th at 6:00 PM, will see coach Giannini’s red and whites take on the Lombardy side Campi Reali Cantù.

The championship continues to prove extremely close, with the final round once again full of surprises: the “prize” likely goes to the Cantù boys, who defied the odds and emerged from last place against league leaders Prata. After all, every match must be played: no opponent is invincible, and it’s important to remember that underestimating anyone is a no-no. There have been two previous meetings between the two teams, both of which ended in a red and white draw. The list of former players is also interesting, with the match featuring, in addition to Pedron (Cantù player in the 23/24 season), Gaetano Penna and Marco Novello, strikers who have worn both shirts.
