The second joint training session of Campi Reali Cantù in preparation for the 2025/2026 season recently concluded at the Opiquad Arena. Coach Alessio Zingoni’s men played five short sets (ending at 15 points instead of the usual 25) against Mint Vero Volley Monza, who will compete in the SuperLega championship. The scoreboard ultimately read 3-2 (15-17, 15-8, 14-16, 15-8, 16-14) for the home team, despite being without several key players, who are busy with their respective national teams at the World Championships currently being held in the Philippines.

Coach Alessio Zingoni begins with what should be the starting six: Luca Martinelli at setter, Gaetano Penna at opposite hitter, Nikolay Ivanov and Andrea Bacco at spikers, Gabriele Maletto and Nicola Candeli at middle blockers, and Luca Butti at libero. In the first set, Candeli was forced out due to injury and replaced by Gioele Taiwo. Coach Zingoni rotated all the team’s players throughout the sets.
