Born in 1999, setter, Mattia Catellani returns to wear the jersey of Reggio Emilia, a team with which he has already shared an important part of his journey. Coming off a season in Serie A3 in Mantua, Catellani arrives with even more maturity, experience and desire to get involved. His return represents a quality addition to the control room: he is an orderly, intelligent setter with a great aptitude for teamwork.
With him, Reggio finds a familiar face, capable of giving balance and continuity to the game, and ready to lead the group with passion and determination.

His words: “I can’t wait to get back and start again, because all the conditions are there to have a good season. I already know the environment well, I’ve always had a great time with all the staff of the club, from the technical sector to the medical one: they are people of the highest level, who always put each player in the best conditions to work. I already know a large part of the team, I can’t wait to meet my new teammates, but I’m convinced that we will get along well right away and that we will be able to create a good group, ready to give our all. The year in Mantua allowed me to express myself and add experience to my journey. I return to Reggio confident, with the desire to put everything I’ve learned on the pitch, and with the goal of giving my contribution to the team to reach the goals we have set ourselves.
