The Città di Isernia Tournament took place on Saturday, September 20th, at the “Liborio Fraraccio” Sports Hall in Isernia. It featured Banca Macerata Fisiomed, the Spike Devils Campobasso, and Virtus Aversa.
Coach Giannini’s team played two matches, both ending 2-1 in favor of their opponents: first against Campobasso and then against Aversa. Despite the losses, the tournament represented a useful step in the preparation for the championship, offering the opportunity to test the players and the various technical solutions, and to consolidate the team’s cohesion, which had been significantly revamped over the summer.
A significant finding from the matches concerned the set scores: four sets were lost by just two points, confirming competitive performances in which only the last detail was missing to make the difference.
