Credem Banca Serie A2 Playoff Finals:
Abba Pineto – Tinet Prata di Pordenone 0-3 (17-25, 20-25, 17-25)

Tinet Prata di Pordenone had the final say in the Credem Banca Serie A2 tournament, securing a historic promotion to the Credem Banca SuperLega thanks to a three-game sweep of Abba Pineto in the Playoff Finals. Their second away win in the best-of-five series, achieved in three sets at PalaVolley S. Maria, proved decisive. This feat smacks of redemption. This was a remarkable performance against the Abruzzo team, which had defeated the Friulians in the Del Monte® Coppa Italia Finals earlier this season and had come from behind to win the first round against winter champions Tinet in the second half of the Regular Season. Game 3 was never in doubt. The visitors mounted a blitz from nine meters, hitting nine aces in three sets, four of which were scored by top scorer Gamba (14 points with one block), the only player on court to finish in double figures. The hosts struggled in attack and failed to make an impact on serve, but tried to limit the damage at blocking, another key aspect in which Prato prevailed (six winners). The most telling statistic of the Finals was the only set won in three matches (Game 1) by Pineto, a team with enormous potential but without Allik.

MVP of the Credem Banca Serie A2 Playoff Finals: Jernej Terpin.

Antonella Di Cesare, FIPAV advisor, and Massimo Righi, president of the Lega Pallavolo Serie A, presented the awards to the athletes. Although many kilometers away from the PalaPrata, the celebration on the Abruzzo court perfectly captured the liberating joy of the newly promoted team at the end of a hard-fought and painful championship.
