An unforgettable evening for Domotek Volley Reggio Calabria, who achieved a fundamental victory in front of almost 4,000 cheering fans. Speaking about the feat is captain Domenico Laganà, still excited by the magical atmosphere created by the crowd, projecting himself towards a match two to be experienced on Sunday at 5 pm in Piedmont, at Palavalenza.
Laganà does not hide his emotion: “I would start from there, from those almost 4,000 spectators. There were also some of my teammates from last season in the stands, and thinking back to where we started from… it gives you the shivers”.
The match, very hard-fought against a tough opponent, was not perfect technically, but the team showed grit and character. “We made mistakes, especially on serve, but the important thing was to win, especially in front of this crowd. We couldn’t disappoint them”.
One of the decisive moments was the third set, won on advantage after an exhausting battle. “That set was a hard blow for them, as it would have been for us. Losing it like that is heavy, but we were very good at not giving up,” Laganà explained. The fourth set was also tight, but Domotek closed the match with determination, confirming its growth in the final part of the season.
