ErmGroup Altotevere has made a choice based on experience in the 4th division (and beyond). Like Matteo Maiocchi, he arrives from Gabbiano Farmamed Mantova, and like Augusto Quarta, he’s from Bologna: spiker Roberto Pinali, who turned 31 in January and stands 187 centimeters tall, is almost exclusively known for the letter “A.” He left for Modena, then spent time in Serie B at Portomaggiore (2017/18 season), then moved up to Serie A2 with Potenza Picena, Serie A3 with Motta di Livenza and Portomaggiore, then climbed back up to Serie A2 with Ravenna, and finally landed in the SuperLega with Valsa Group Modena. Finally, he won two Serie A3 Credem Banca championships with the Virgilian team. His career total is 1,626 points, including 18 in the top national division, 514 in Serie A2, and 1,094 in Serie A3. They scored 1,317 attacking plays, 181 aces, and 128 blocks. “I came to Altotevere to do very well,” Pinali said, “and, if possible, to improve on what the team achieved in the last tournament. We’ll give it everything we’ve got, hoping to achieve our goal.” He made an excellent impression on the San Giustino team: “From the very first moments, I immediately realized how serious and well-organized this club is. This is undoubtedly a good sign. As for the team’s geographical placement, I’m really hoping to be in the White Group, because going to play in the south is challenging in every way.”
