ErmGroup Altotevere has landed another impressive signing for the upcoming Credem Banca Serie A3 championship. Tommaso Baldini, a 196cm native of Massa, has arrived from Emma Villas Codyeco Lupi Siena (A2) and will turn 21 on September 20th. Having grown up with his hometown club, where he played in the youth teams and even played in Serie C, Baldini then moved to Lupi di Santa Croce sull’Arno, where he spent three years between Serie B and the youth teams. Last season, while continuing to play in Serie B, he made his A2 debut with Emma Villas Codyeco Lupi Siena, scoring 31 points, including 23 in attack, four serving, and four blocking. Now, one league down, but one more opportunity for him: “Definitely,” Baldini says, “because even though I was part of the A2 roster and had my chance to debut and play in that league, I was actually more busy with the Serie B championship, which gave me the chance to grow and gain experience.” And Baldini retains a positive memory of his brief stint on the field in A2: “The 31 points mean it went better than I expected, because from the start they warned me about the limited space I would have, especially given the presence of teammates with more experience and a greater physical build than me; I effectively found myself with colleagues in the department who, compared to me, are giants. I remember my debut game in A2 perfectly: it’s a shame because we lost 2-3 against Campi Reali Cantù, while on a personal level, I scored 11 points, recording a 65% conversion rate. That’s enough to be satisfied.”
