After a stellar Wednesday, Essence Hotels Fano faces another thrilling match.

The Fano team (Sunday at 4:00 PM) will host Alva Inox 2 Emme Service Porto Viro, currently sitting on 6 points in the standings and coming off two strong performances in the league.

In the midweek round, Virtus deservedly defeated Pineto, showcasing top-notch volleyball and, above all, a mental attitude that’s up to the task: “After six consecutive losses and tough weeks,” said Polish player Jan Fornal (18 points, 1 ace, 5 blocks, and a 55% attacking percentage against Pineto), “we’ve achieved a crucial victory. Now we need to find the right consistency and build on the good performances we’ve shown in defense and serving.”

Alva Inox 2 Emme Service, which made a significant summer transfer, adding players such as Giulio Pinali (promoted to the Superleague with Cuneo last season), Alex Erati (formerly of Brescia), and Nicola Zonta (formerly of Fano), is coming off a 3-2 home win over Aversa and a 3-1 defeat in Prata. Matteo Bologna, who replaced coach Daniele Moretti just a few weeks ago, currently at Fano, sits on the bench.
