After the resounding success of previous seasons, when hundreds of teddy bears literally invaded the PalabancaSport pitch, the long-awaited “Teddy Bear Toss” returns this year.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, December 30th, during the match against Valsa Group Modena (7:30 pm), valid for the Del Monte® Coppa Italia SuperLega Quarterfinals. At the announcer’s signal, teddy bears and other stuffed animals will once again rain down from the stands, giving the crowd one of the most emotional and symbolic moments of the season.
The initiative has a charitable purpose: all the stuffed animals collected will be donated to the Red Cross and the Casa del Fanciullo in Piacenza, to bring a smile to those in need.
The cooperation of all spectators is essential to the success of the event. Fans are asked to bring a soft stuffed animal, new or used, as long as it is in excellent condition and has no batteries. A simple run through the washing machine will be enough to prepare it for a new life.
