The first results were already known on the eve of the match (Perugia mathematically first and qualified for next season’s Champions League, Grottazzolina relegated to Serie A2), and the eight playoff teams had already been determined, with two pairings already established (Perugia vs. Monza, 1st and 8th respectively, and Verona vs. Milan, 2nd vs. 7th). Tonight’s results have completed the Regular Season standings and thus filled in the missing playoff positions: Trento vs. Civitanova and Modena vs. Piacenza will round out the table.
