Another triumphant run. Domotek Volley continues to write pages of sporting history for the city. After the Coppa Italia Del Monte, the Serie A3 Supercoppa has arrived, and libero Saverio De Santis, returning from yet another display of strength, recounts the emotions of a team that never ceases to amaze.

“It’s absolutely not easy to bounce back after Game 5,” De Santis begins, his voice still filled with adrenaline. The match against the battleship Reggio Emilia was a true journey to the limits of endurance: “It was a match that lasted a truly long time, but this time it went well, once again as it did in the Italian Cup.”

But what kind of match was it, exactly? The Domotek libero has no doubts: “It was a game full of emotion. We played against a great team like Reggio Emilia. In fact, I don’t want to say they were ‘losers,’ but I consider them runners-up because it was truly a beautiful match. We gave it our all, like in this series. These were seven incredible matches, and we won the two cups. They won the championship. All we need is this to finish strong and put the icing on the cake.”

Attention immediately shifts to the next, very tough obstacle: the playoff semifinal against Acqui Terme. A long-standing acquaintance, one that brings with it memories and motivation. “We know Acquiterme; we faced them last year. We bear their marks,” De Santis emphasizes, “and we know their strengths, but we’re not afraid. We know our qualities; we’ve shown them in recent days. We can’t wait to play because we really want to play in another final.”

And while the team prepares for the final push, pride is sky-high at home. “They wrote to me: ‘Well done Saverio, we’re proud of you,'” the libero reveals with a smile.

“It’s something I always tell the guys, all the young players on this team: you won’t always find yourselves in seasons like this. It’s not easy, and reaching the finals, a first-place finish in the regular season, a Coppa Italia final, and a Supercoppa final are absolutely not something that happens every year. These are extraordinary results. Now we have to work hard to finish on a high note.”
