Pietro, for your first experience in the south of Italy, you’ve decided to join the Folgore project:
There are many reasons that led me to join the Folgore project. One of them is certainly the desire for redemption and the ambitions the club brings, bringing together a well-equipped roster that will certainly have its say in this new Serie A3 season. Another reason is the atmosphere, calm and serene yet professional and focused. Beyond that, I can’t help but say that another major factor that drew me here was the beauty of the city, an incredibly evocative setting.
You meet up with your teammate Stefano Patriarca, with whom you shared the final stretch of the 2024 season in Fano. What kind of middle blocker are you? What are your strengths and which ones do you want to improve?
I know our captain very well and I know that Ste can be a pillar of strength even in the most challenging moments, while also being a leader capable of leading and motivating the team.
I’ll try to bring as much quality as possible to every practice and match, focusing on the fundamentals of blocking and serving. Obviously, you never stop improving, but I’d like to develop a good understanding with the setter so I can be a key player in key moments of the match, as well as improving my attacking skills at the middle block.
