He was one of the most surprising players of the recently concluded season. Vero Volley Monza announces the confirmation of Zhasmin Velichkov to the team that will participate in the 2026/27 championship.

Born in 2007, still nineteen years old, the Bulgarian spiker was one of the revelations of the last SuperLega. Velichkov has established himself in a top-level championship, demonstrating personality, technical ability, and maturity. Performance after performance, he has carved out an increasingly important space for himself within the group trained by coach Massimo Eccheli: from a young alternative to a decisive player. His confirmation is an exemplary step in the team’s roster construction, which focuses on promising young players, both Italian and foreign, capable of combining talent, preparation, and ambition.

“I’m extremely happy to continue wearing the Vero Volley jersey,” Velichkov proudly emphasizes. “I appreciate the support I’ve received from the club, the coaches, and the fans who are always by my side and passionately support the team. In Monza, I think I’ve improved in every aspect, but there’s still a lot of work to do. My personal goals are to continue growing, as a man and as a volleyball player in every way.” Finally, the Bulgarian’s message to the fans: “I can’t wait to see you back in the gym and I really hope it can be a season full of positive energy.”
