A new piece for the 2026-2027 Vero Volley Monza team. The Brianza-based club announces the arrival of Jacopo Massari, who adds quality and solutions to the spikers’ department. The Parma-born player boasts an impressive resume, having played for some of the most prestigious teams in Italian volleyball. He boasts extensive experience and a trophy cabinet, including a World Championship silver medal and a European Championship bronze medal in 2015.
Fifteen seasons between SuperLega and Serie A2, 370 matches played, and the last two years spent with Valsa Group Modena. Now, his new adventure with the Rossoblù club: “I’m truly happy to join Vero Volley,” Massari said. “As an opponent, I’ve always looked at this club with great respect and admiration: their forward-thinking, often unconventional, decisions have given me the impression of a club capable of leaving a recognizable mark on the Italian volleyball scene. It was a choice I felt within me, with little hesitation, and this is an important signal to me. I find Vero Volley to be an ambitious, organized club with a clear vision of where it wants to go; it was the environment I needed at this point in my career to continue giving my all. I can’t wait to feel the support of the fans.”
The spiker elaborates on his role within the group: “It’s very important to me that I approach my daily life with the right mentality, so I’ll try to do my part to create a team identity that will allow us to achieve our goals. In addition to finding my place on the court, I’ll also try to give my best off the court for the good of the team.” Finally, a look at next season: “The Italian league is always very balanced, so it will be crucial to be ready from the start. There are players who are new to the Super League and others who know it very well: I believe this is the right mix to achieve the goals we have set ourselves.”
