Fans will remember Michal in his first Italian season in Serie A3, 2021/22, with Casarano, facing Mr. Esposito’s boys. In Cutrofiano, Michal was the protagonist of the 3-0 victory with 13/26 attacks, 2 aces, and 1 block; while in Agerola, his 20/41 attacks and 3 aces weren’t enough to prevent Mr. Esposito’s team from taking revenge (3-1). He then spent two seasons in Serie A2 with Prata and two seasons in Serie A3 with Acqui Terme. His stats speak for themselves: 533 points in 29 matches with Casarano, 733 points in 60 matches with Prata, and 792 points in 49 matches with Acqui Terme. Best A3 spiker by 2024/2025 index and best A3 hitter with 53 aces 2024/2025.
Michal, we’re seeing each other again after five years. In your first season in Italy, we met in Cutrofiano and Agerola. You played some amazing matches (a 3-0 win in the first leg, with 13/26 attacking, 2 aces, and 1 block; a 1-3 loss in the second leg, but 20/41 attacking and 3 aces). Then, two years in A2 in Prata and two years in A3 in Acqui Terme. Now you’re back south, in a town fresh from a triple-win in A3 and staying up in A2. What are your feelings?
The emotions are very positive. I remember the matches against Massa Lubrense. It was a packed arena, a very enthusiastic atmosphere, and spectacular cheering. I’m proud to be able to represent and wear the colors of this club. The club will certainly aim high to return to Serie A2 immediately, and I came here to help achieve this important goal.
