The center of the Itas Trentino men’s team returns to speaking Serbian, as has often happened in recent, glorious seasons in the Gialloblù’s history. Aleksandar Nedeljković will occupy one of the four center positions in the 2026/27 squad, continuing the long and successful tradition of players in that position coming from Serbia: after Mester, Vusurovic, Lisinac, and Podrascanin, there will therefore be room for the twenty-eight-year-old from Vrnaje, whom the club on Via del Brennero has signed on a one-year contract, acquiring him from nearby Verona.
A well-rounded and physically fit player (205 cm), he will play his fourth consecutive season in the Credem Banca SuperLega in Trento, following his stints in Cisterna and Verona, interspersed only with a brief stint in Greece with Olympiacos between September and October 2025. During his Italian career, he has stood out above all for his great blocking skills, where he has long been considered one of the best performers in the world, also thanks to the extensive international experience he gained in the Polish league with Belchatow and Czestochowa, in the Czech Republic with Prague, and in Germany with Friedrichshafen. In 84 matches played in Italy, he has scored 544 points, including 31 aces and 174 block winners, with an attack percentage of 58%. His aptitude for blocking has also allowed him to win the ranking dedicated to this skill in the 2024/25 Credem Banca SuperLega championship and to perform well in the previous and next seasons as well.
