After reconfirming its technical and medical staff, Avimec Modica has made its first signing by securing setter Jacopo Biffi.
Born in 2000, Biffi arrives in the shadow of the Castello dei Conti after playing for the last three seasons with ErmGroup San Giustino. Standing 188 cm tall, Biffi is originally from Merate and arrives under coach Enzo Distefano, where he will take over the legacy left by Pedro Putini, who held the helm of the “Galletti” for four seasons.
In addition to San Giustino, Biffi spent two seasons with Gamma Chimica Brugherio (Serie A3), Pallavolo Saronno, and Diavoli Rosa Brugherio, where he also played in the youth teams.
Now, his new adventure in Sicily with the blue and white jersey of Avimec Modica.
“I’m truly happy and proud to begin this new adventure in Modica,” these are Jacopo Biffi’s first words as a player for Avimec Modica. “Modica is a welcoming place, representing the entire Sicilian volleyball scene at the national level. What convinced me to come to Modica right from the start was the project and its high ambitions. I had no doubts from the moment I spoke to and met Coach Distefano. From a personal standpoint,” he continues, “I’m coming to Modica with great motivation, after two seasons in which I narrowly missed out on the playoff finals. Now I can’t wait to get back to work with the coach and all my new teammates, because I’m convinced we’ll be able to achieve great things. All the right ingredients are there, and I enjoy challenges. All that’s left is to work hard and, above all, have fun on the court. I thank the club, which,” concludes the new Avimec Modica setter, “really wanted me, and I salute my new fans, whom I hope to see soon at the “PalaRizza.”
