Celebrating Domotek

The council chamber of Palazzo San Giorgio hosted the awards ceremony for Domotek, the team that enjoyed an extraordinary season that culminated in promotion to Serie A2. The club, coaching staff, and athletes were welcomed by the acting mayor of Reggio Calabria, Domenico Battaglia, and the city councilor responsible for sport, Giovanni Latella.
“In recent years,” said Battaglia, “Domotek has supported and represented Reggio Calabria’s sporting activities in the best possible way. Your goal has not only been to achieve sporting results, but also to establish the city’s image on the national stage, helping to establish the Reggio Calabria brand, a city that is increasingly seen as a positive destination thanks in part to its sporting successes. Something significant is growing around the city and the PalaCalafiore, a renovated facility capable of adapting to various disciplines that is becoming a point of reference for the entire South. Thank you for this sporting achievement and for your contribution to the city’s growth.”
“In the city senate, we wanted to pay tribute to this team, demonstrating that with passion, sacrifice, and planning, extraordinary results can be achieved,” Latella added. “You are an example for all other sports organizations in the area. The most beautiful thing is that we have managed to bring so many spectators back to the PalaCalafiore, which is now finally being enhanced for international-level events. You will always find the city administration at your side.”
