After another memorable season, in which the Block Devils added four more trophies to their trophy cabinet, the first farewells begin at the Juventus stadium.
It’s the nature of sport: you arrive and you leave… but what you’ve experienced and built with the group—the hard work, the dedication and commitment, the moments of difficulty, and of course the goals and successes achieved—those remain forever. Whether it was one season or several consecutive seasons.

Saying farewell after three seasons in the black and white jersey is Tunisian opposite hitter Wassim Ben Tara, a Polish player with sporting citizenship, who has established himself as one of SIR’s key players over the past three years.
His arrival in Perugia, in the 2023/24 season, coincided with his debut in the Italian championship, following three seasons in France, one in Poland, and one in Qatar.

In her first year in Perugia, she immediately experienced a truly thrilling season: it was Sir’s legendary poker season, as, in a single season, they won every single trophies they competed for: the Club World Cup, Super Cup, Italian Cup, and Scudetto.
The following year, when it seemed like a dream come true, the club’s first Champions League match arrived, and Ben Tara, the match’s top scorer with 22 points in the final against Zawierce at the Atlas Arena, was named the best opposite hitter in the “dream team.”
Who could have ever dreamed that such a dream could be repeated the following year?
And yet, Sir, with Ben Tara playing diagonally alongside captain Giannelli, not only repeated the feat, but surpassed themselves, entering the history of world volleyball legends! In the season that just ended, the Juventus opposite hitter won four more trophies with President Sirci’s club, once again climbing onto the podium of the “dream team” as the best player in his position. In this Champions League final, he was the top scorer with 24 points in three sets.

In total, he won ten trophies in just three years in Perugia: two Club World Cups, three Super Cups, one Italian Cup, two Scudetti, and two Champions Leagues! “Ten trophies in three years was truly incredible! Three seasons… each season had its own story and its own journey, and they were all beautiful, ones that I will remember for the rest of my life.”
